This course covers empirical strategies for applied microeconomic research. The goal is to acquire theoretical and practical tools to estimate causal effects with the use of micro data. These techniques are becoming mainstream in policy evaluation and are key for sound economic policy advice. Our agenda includes regression and matching, instrumental variables, difference-in-differences, regression discontinuity designs, randomized control trials (RCT) and policy learning. |
