Gianluca Violante (Princeton University) delivers the opening lecture of the academic year 2026-2027 entitled “Between a Rock and a Hard Place: The Macroeconomics of Inclusive Monetary Policy”

CEMFI inaugurates the new academic year 2026-2027 with the conference “Between a Rock and a Hard Place: The Macroeconomics of Inclusive Monetary Policy” given by Gianluca Violante, Theodore A. Wells’29 Professor of Economics at Princeton University. The conference had a great success of participation among our professors and students. During the ceremony, the awards for Best Teacher of the academic year 2025-2026 were announced, which went to Giulia Buccione, the Best Third Year Paper, which went to Salvatore Liaci and the Best Teaching Assistant, which went to Erik Ortiz-Covarrubias.
